What can the polarimeter measure?
Optical rotation, specific rotation, concentration and sugar content, with 0.001° resolution. Specific rotation and concentration are the modes used in pharmaceutical identity testing, and sugar content is the mode used in sugar-industry payment analysis.
How is temperature controlled?
Peltier control specified from 10 °C to 50 °C with ±0.1 °C accuracy. Optical rotation is temperature-sensitive, so a controlled cell is not optional when the result has to be reproducible as specific rotation.
Which sample cells fit?
Any cell of 200 mm path length or below, in the standard and jacketed variants. The LED source is rated above 100,000 hours, and data exports over USB, RS232 or the PC interface.
