How do I choose between the white-light and 860 nm modes?
The white-light source (400–600 nm) follows the formazin-style methods used in many national standards; 860 nm is the near-infrared source specified in ISO 7027. Choose the mode your reporting standard names, because readings from the two are not interchangeable at low turbidity.
How long does a single reading take?
On automatic range selection, 3 to 9 seconds. Locking a single range manually makes the reading faster, because the instrument no longer steps through ranges to find the right one.
Is it suitable for field use?
IP54 protection, a rechargeable lithium battery and a 3-inch color screen make it a field instrument. It stores 5,000 data sets and can log continuously to a USB drive without a capacity limit, exporting in Excel format.
